In 1985 P. Lynn Bibbs was commissioned in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) as a Captain in the United States Army where she served as both a Prosecutor at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and a Senior Defense Counsel at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. While serving as Senior Defense Counsel and during Desert Storm, Ms. Bibbs was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for her performance as a JAG Officer and for her professionalism.

In February 1992, Ms. Bibbs came to Indianapolis to serve as a Marion County Deputy Prosecutor for the Marion County Prosecutor's Office. She worked in two special divisions. First, the Metro Gang Task Force, and in 1993 she moved to the Sex Crimes Division. In 1994, she was assigned special victims cases which included the Central State Closing and the Condom Rapist case (a serial rapist with between 8 -12 suspected victims).

Ms. Bibbs left the Marion County Prosecutor's Office in 1995 and has practiced in Criminal Defense since that time. In the summer of 1995, she traveled to South Bend, Indiana, to work on the Capital case of State v. Ajabu. While there Ms. Bibbs presented the defense of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome for Kofi Ajabu with an expert witness. Kofi did not receive the Death Penalty in that triple murder case.

In the past 25 years, Ms. Bibbs has litigated just about every type of criminal case from the violent murder case to the white collar crime. She has received acquittals (verdicts of not guilty) in front of juries and judges.

As recently as October 21, 2009, in a 13 charge white collar crime case, Ms. Bibbs' client was charged with conspiracy to defraud financial institutions, mortgage fraud, and the Indianapolis Housing Agency. Ms. Bibbs together with her co-counsel Rick Kammen, who represented a co-defendant, won a Suppression hearing, where they showed that the Police received an unconstitutional search warrant. The State had to dismiss all 13 charges against their clients.

Ms. Bibbs remains thorough and professional since the days of her JAG officer training. She is the type of attorney that will leave no stone unturned and no plausible theory undeveloped. She is the type of attorney you want on your side.
